I used to wait out winter impatiently but I’ve come to love winter outdoor sports, which is great right now, because gyms and swimming pools are still all closed in Alberta. This photo from the end of January is of me snowshoeing on Bow Lake, source of my beloved Bow River (photo: Christina Jahn). It was cold and the visibility was limited by light snow, but we had a great time and finally got to put those Costco snowshoes through their paces!
