Description

Published by Largemouth Basso Books in August of 2022, this collection contains many of Paul’s most recent poems, so it is “current,” in the chronological sense of the word. Unlike the other anthologies to date, this book is not unified by a specific theme or style, but flows with a myriad of different thematic and stylistic currents. Unified by the pervasive Zeitgeist of the global COVID-19 pandemic, poems about nature, family, grief, climate-anxiety and current affairs are grouped together here and there into thematic islands, groves, valleys and pools. The poet invites readers to wander through the literary landscape, rest beside still waters, and encounter beautiful birds flying freely throughout.
